Senior Design - Capstone
Thanksgiving Play
For my Capstone project, I designed the set for our production of The Thanksgiving Play. It was set in a theatre classroom and we wanted a cozy, homey feel to it.

Set dressing I designed is here

A Midsummer Night's Dream
My final project for a Shakespeare class. I took a lot of inspiration from Greek theatre, as that was what Shakespeare drew from for his plays.
The audience also entered through the stage as a sort of "entering the realm of magic"

High Fidelity
My final project for a Creative Writing class where we could choose what we wanted to do. This is one of my favorite musicals and the design came pretty quickly.
Most of this show takes place in a record store. It's designed in a black box due to my belief that this show would work best with an intimate house.

Snow In Midsummer
A final project for a class about dramatic literature. I drew from Chinese architecture and art due to the content in the show, and having it in a black box makes it more intimate and personal.

Picasso at the Lapin Agile
A final project for a scenic design class. We did "paper projects" to learn how to collaborate with other designers. The most important part of this design is the immersive nature of the bar.

Hamlet
One of my first designs for a hypothetical production. I wanted to play on the madness of both Ophelia and Hamlet, so the actors could use the scrims to cast shadows. The chair/throne is based on Freud's couch, and is red to symbolize that it's one thing that's real and constant.

Design a Song - Vincent
This project was meant to get us into the designing and model-building processes for the first time by designing for a song of our choice. I chose to do Vincent by Don McLean and put it in one of Van Gogh's paintings.

Edges
Edges is a more modern musical, so most of the costume pieces were from the thrift store. It did not require design renderings, but you can see production photos here

Hand to God
This was a "paper project" and not a realized design. Our concept was based on the cult known as The Children of God, and their inappropriate behavior with minors. Because of this, we utilized costumes and furniture based on 80's trends.

She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms
A collaboration project with the costume design class. We each had one or two characters/costumes we were in charge of for the production, my character was Tilly and her D&D personality Tillius. I wanted to go for sensible rather than extravagant, similar to a cosplay someone put together in their bedroom.

The Fire Chief

Mary the Maid

Mr. Martin

Mrs. Martin

Mrs. Smith
The Bald Soprano
This was a project from my costume design course. We were tasked to make our designs as absurd as possible, so I gender-swapped the costumes while the actors would hypothetically still follow the gender roles from the 1950's. The only single character, the Fire Chief, would be dressed as if he were an exotic dancer.
Makeup Design
Makeup Design
One of my required BFA classes was Makeup Design. While makeup is not my strongest skill, I believe that this course helped me better understand what goes into a theatrical makeup design. These photos were required as proof of understanding the skills and had to be cleared by the professor.
